About

I’m a designer and engineer working across design, motion, and creative development — where visual craft meets engineering rigor.

My work spans character and effects on feature films, interactive product design, real-time graphics, and research. I’ve contributed character and effects work to films including Trolls: World Tour, The Croods: A New Age, Encanto, Lightyear, and Elemental across DreamWorks, Pixar, and Disney, and presented art-driven shot-sculpting research at SIGGRAPH 2021.

More recently I designed and engineered the interaction layer for Duolingo Chess, and completed a Stanford master’s thesis building an AI-enhanced storytelling tool for science learning. My earliest work — a pedestrian-alert invention for Addis Ababa — was funded by Lemelson-MIT and presented at the 2014 White House Science Fair. Ethiopia and cross-cultural storytelling run through much of what I make.
